Yakchoo was founded by people who call Himalayas their home and grew up eating “chhurpi” - what Yak Chews are called in this part of the world.
Making these chews is not only an ancient art and a rich part of Himalayan culture, but for a few locals, it is the only way to earn a livelihood.
Setting up our factory and manufacturing our Yak chews in the hills - the traditional way - is our attempt to preserve a small part of our childhoods while ensuring that people who know this art live comfortable lives.
